monday.com Salesforce integration: Bi-directional sync setup and common issues

We're trying to set up a bi-directional sync between Salesforce and monday.com for our sales and operations teams. The native integration seems limited. What's the best approach? What common issues have you encountered? Is Zapier or a native integration better?

We use the native Salesforce integration for one-way (Salesforce → monday) and Zapier for reverse. Native is more reliable. Common issues: 1) Duplicate items (use email as unique identifier), 2) Field type mismatches (map carefully), 3) Sync delays (real-time isn't instant - 5-10 min). Setup: Use the 'Account' column in monday to link to Salesforce Account ID. For bi-directional, Zapier is required but costs more. Test extensively with sample data before full sync.

The native integration only syncs specific objects (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities). For custom objects, you need middleware. We use Workato - more expensive than Zapier but more stable for enterprise syncs.
