Managing monday.com notifications: Reducing inbox overload and setting up smart alerts

I receive 50+ monday.com notifications daily. It's become noise rather than useful. How do I: - Filter to only important notifications - Set up different rules for different boards - Reduce @mention spam - Create custom notification schedules?

Here's how I reduced notifications from 50+ to 8 per day: Per-Board Settings: - Go to board → Settings → Notifications - Disable 'All updates' for low-priority boards - Enable only: @mentions, Status changes (my items), Due date reminders Global Settings (Profile → Notifications): - Email digest: Set to Daily Summary (not instant) - Mobile push: Only @mentions - In-app: Everything (easier to filter) Smart Rules: - Create automation: When item created → Don't notify (unless I'm assignee) - When status changes → Only notify if I'm assignee or subscriber The @mention problem: Only @mention when action is required. I trained my team: no @mention for 'FYI', only for 'Please do X'. Reduced @mentions by 70%. Schedule: I set 'Do Not Disturb' 6pm-8am. All notifications batched to 8am digest.

Adding one more tip: Use the 'Subscribe' feature instead of relying on automatic notifications. Tell team members to subscribe only to items they need to track. Default subscription creates noise. Also, check 'Notification Log' in your profile - you can see all notifications and identify patterns.
