monday.com views explained: When to use Kanban, List, Calendar, and Timeline

I see there are many view options in monday.com but not sure when to use each. Can someone explain: - When is Kanban better than List? - Calendar vs Timeline - When do I need Gantt? - Can I save multiple views for different users?

Here's when to use each view: List View: Default for data entry, complex filtering, bulk editing. Use when: entering lots of data, need to see many columns, complex queries. Kanban View: Workflow visualization. Use when: managing status flow, WIP limits, team workload balancing. Groups become swimlanes. Calendar View: Time-based scheduling. Use when: deadlines matter, need to see conflicts, event planning. Timeline View: Project planning. Use when: need to see duration (not just dates), dependencies, critical path. Gantt View: Advanced project management. Use when: managing complex projects with dependencies, need resource loading, reporting to executives. Pro tip: Create multiple views on same board. We have: List (default), Kanban (for daily standups), Timeline (for planning). Users can toggle between them. Save as 'My View' for personal preferences.

One more view: Dashboard. Not on the board itself but combines multiple boards. We use Dashboard for: portfolio view (all projects), team workload (all assignments), client reports. Views are for doing, Dashboards are for monitoring.
