I see monday.com offers multiple views (Kanban, List, Calendar, Gantt, etc.) but I'm not sure when to use each one. Our team has a mix of project managers, developers, and designers. What's the best approach for choosing views?

Here's my practical breakdown: Use Kanban (Board view) for work-in-progress tracking - great for teams doing agile or visual workflow management. Use List view for data-heavy work like content calendars, bug lists, or anything requiring bulk editing. Use Calendar view for time-bound work with specific dates - deadlines, events, meetings. Use Gantt for project planning with dependencies. Use Chart view for analytics. Pro tip: Save multiple views for the same board so team members can switch based on their role. Our dev team lives in List view, designers prefer Kanban, and our PM uses Gantt - all on the same board.

The key is understanding that views are just different visualizations of the same data. Changes in one view reflect everywhere. I recommend creating a 'My Views' section where each team member saves their preferred view. Also, use the 'View owner' feature to personalize views - you can set default filters per person.

Don't overlook the Map view for location-based work and the Timeline view (simplified Gantt) for simple project tracking. For our marketing team, we use a combination: Calendar view for campaign dates, Kanban for content production workflow, and Chart view for performance metrics. All connected to the same underlying data.
